Computer Education and Instructional Technologies department started accepting students in 2001-2002. It was after the credit of World Bank to restructure education faculties.
In 2002-2003 evening classes started and until 2009 total 150 students were accepted each year to the department. When our department accepted blended learning students for the first time in 2009-2010 it was also the first time ever for a computer education and instructional technologies department offering blended learning in Turkey. Until 2012 almost 240 students each year were accepted to the department. After stopping evening and blended learning options, now there are only morning classes offered in our department.
Today there is one graduate, one masters and one doctoral program available in our department.
